萬聖夜前兩天。
男人倒在血泊中，
四枚刀片，咳出的、胃裡、喉嚨中。
Dean 發現了巫術的小袋子。

萬聖夜前一天。
女孩活活燙死在冷水缸中。
Sam 找出同樣的小袋。

"Three blood sacrifices over three days -- the last before midnight on the final day of the final harvest (Celtic calendar, 31st Oct, Halloween)."
召喚惡魔的儀式 -- raising of Samhain.

萬聖夜，Halloween。
吃光整桶糖的 Dean 發現了女巫化身的女孩。

"Trick or treat!"
"This is a motel."
"So?"
"So we don't have any candy."

天使們。Castiel &..."This is Uriel. He's...what you might call...a specialist."

初見天使，Sam 滿心的喜悅。
"Sam Winchester -- the boy with the demon blood."

天使要求 Dean&Sam 離開，
因為他們預備毀滅整座城鎮以阻止 Samhain 被召喚，
防止封印之一再被破壞。

"...have faith. The plan is just."
..."Because it comes from heaven. That makes it just."
"It must be nice to be so sure of yourselves."
"Tell me something, Dean. When your father gave you an order,
 didn't you obey?"

"You went to the trouble of busting me out of hell. I figure I'm worth something to the man upstairs. You want waste me? Go ahead. See how he digs that."
Dean 拒絕離開，表示他們會阻止召喚惡魔的儀式。

"I suggest you move quickly."


"Astronaut!!" (poor Metallicar~)


Sam 失望於天使與想像中的不同，質疑所祈禱的上帝與天堂。
Dean 要弟弟不要輕易放棄原有的信仰，
"Don't give up on the stuff is all I am saying.
Babe Ruth was a dick, but baseball's still a beautiful game."

天使的爭論。"You know our true orders. Are you prepared to disobey?"

Dean&Sam 的行動失敗，
惡魔被喚起。
街上的人群因為面具躲過了惡魔的注視，
惡魔走向墓地。

Sam 提示應該利用他的能力，
Dean 反對，他請求弟弟使用 Ruby 的殺魔刀。

墓地。"Zombie-ghost orgy, huh? Well, that's it. I am torching everybody."


Sam 獨自應付惡魔，終究用起了他的能力。
目擊一切的 Dean，
驚嚇、傷心、擔憂...一種於心的了然。
Sam 隨即迴避的眼神中閃過一絲的罪惡感。


十一月一日。旅館房間。
Uriel 提示 Sam 隔天是他逝去母親與女友的忌日，
而他竟然利用著兇手惡魔賜與的能力。
天使告誡 Sam 要是他製造的麻煩超過他的價值，
他會毫不猶豫將他化為塵土。

公園中。Dean 坐在長凳上靜靜看著眼前的人群。

天使接受的真正指示是跟隨 Dean 所說的去做，
那是測試，測試他在戰場情況下的行動。
Dean 說即使重來他還是會做出同樣的選擇，
因為他不知道未來或甚至明天會怎樣，
他只曉得當下眼前的孩童、風動還有綠樹...都還存在是因為弟弟和自己。

"...I was praying that you would choose to save this town."
"You were?"
"These people -- they are all my father's creations. They are works of art."

天使告訴 Dean 他並不是個工具，
他也有疑問，
他不再確定什麼是對或錯，
Dean 是否通過測試他並不知道，
未來 Dean 將必須做出更多的決定，
而他毫不妒忌那些在 Dean 肩上的重擔。
